As well as a new park additional equipment will be getting installed also.

2 picnic benches to be installed which were donated from the Local prison.

Meetings were organised last year and this year. People came together and created a vision on how Stoneyburn & Bents should be.

It is early days, a group called Stoneyburn and Bents Future Vision Group was formed and on the 22nd February 2011 was Constituted. This group will work closely with other groups in the village especially the Stoneyburn and Bents Community Council. This partnership is crucial on the success.

The new group is now in process of getting established. We are currently in the process of looking into a village consultation / survey.

From this we will create project lists. Information will be displayed and your help will be greatly appreciated.

A General Meeting was organised and you may have seen this poster in places around the village, it was also distributed from the schools.

Come along and support and give thanks to those who gave all for us. The service will be delivered by representatives from the 3 village churches.

A few in the village have raised much concern regarding the road traffic calming measures installed (the Speed Bumps)

We can advise that Councillor Neil Findlay has raised a Notice of Motion regarding the poor design and construction of the bumps. he has called for the council to amend the current scheme installed and provide measures that command public confidence.

It is believed that a scheme such as the one in Fauldhouse would provide that level of confidence.

Please leave your views on the the speed bumps.
