Villagers were fed up with the Dull, Run Down looking Village, As well as lack of opportunities for all (Young, Youth and Old). Some decided to do something about, With a view to bring everyone together and work together.
Meetings were organised last year and this year. People came together and created a vision on how Stoneyburn & Bents should be.
It is early days, a group called Stoneyburn and Bents Future Vision Group was formed and on the 22nd February 2011 was Constituted. This group will work closely with other groups in the village especially the Stoneyburn and Bents Community Council. This partnership is crucial on the success.
The new group is now in process of getting established. We are currently in the process of looking into a village consultation / survey.
From this we will create project lists. Information will be displayed and your help will be greatly appreciated.
A General Meeting was organised and you may have seen this poster in places around the village, it was also distributed from the schools.
